LinkedIn Success Blueprint’s Miles Duncan gave his thanks to the CIPR and to those who attended the ‘Social in the City Event’ at the Corinthian in Glasgow last night.

A keen crowd of LinkedIn users heard Miles explain his successful approach to using the platform to promote yourself, make new connections or win new business.

Miles told the audience that the 17million users in the UK alone make LinkedIn a highly effective business development and recruitment tool – and he explained why using LinkedIn is now mandatory for business professionals.

Miles said: “I’m grateful that the CIPR invited me to speak at this event and I’d like to thank everyone who came along for contributing to its success.”

He shared some winning strategies on getting more from LinkedIn, including ‘How to optimise your LinkedIn profile, so it ranks highly on Google’ and ‘How to sell yourself to potential new audiences, clients or potential employers during the Social in the City series, which is designed to offer bite sized insights into social and digital media trends.

Miles also extended his thanks to the organisers for inviting him to put on similar events in other cities in Scotland and the UK.
